General Information

  • All brands use a combination of beeps, vibrations, and static shock
    • Some brands can control the intensity of each of these functions, or turn them off entirely
  • Recommended for dogs that won't respond to citronella collars
  • Automatic and manual activation based on training needs

Aetertek

The Aetertek brand is owned by eShopping Group and we sell these products through the Aetertek website, which has an Australian and a New Zealand page, as well as eDog Australia.

  • Our most popular and recommended range
  • Aetertek products are great mid-range training collars for customers that have found the citronella collars too weak, but don't want to use a "shock collar"
  • Both of them work on the same charger
  • Static level is adjustable with X levels of intensity, that can also be disabled
  • The device can function using audio & vibration alone without the shock
    • Great for training
  • The device can be activated manually with the remote control or set up to use the Aetertek Auto-Bark Feature
  • These collars also come with one, two, or three collars paired to a single controller

Aetertek - Auto Anti-Bark Feature

How it works

  1. When the receiver is against the dog’s neck, the device will sense the vibration and sound every 2-3 seconds of continuous barking
  2. When both of these sensors detect activity at the same time for 2-3 seconds the device will beep
  3. If the device continues to detect sound and vibrations for another 2-3 seconds then it will vibrate
  4. If the device still detects sound and vibrations for a further 2-3 seconds then it will activate the static feature

Note:

  • The static function will activate at the intensity level that is set on the remote controller
  • If it’s set at zero, it’s not going to do anything after the beep and vibration

To Activate

  1. Select the desired intensity level for the eventual static feature activation on the remote
  2. Press and hold the orange button on the side for three seconds
  3. The red light above the three lights that represent the dog will change from red to blue showing it is in auto bark.

Recommendations

As you can control the level of intensity of the static feature, these collars are can be safely used for any size dog over 4kg. However, we don't recommend setting the voltage to seven for a small dog

  • Small dogs - Level one or two
  • Medium-sized dogs - Level three to four.
  • Big dogs -  Level four to five
  • Bear sized dogs - Level four & above

We also can advise safely testing the intensity levels on yourself if you are unsure. Starting at level one, and increase the intensity until you’re uncomfortable to gain an understanding of what the dog will experience.

2-in-1 Anti-Bark and Remote Training Collar

  • Has beep, vibrate, and shock button that you can manually activate
  • Adjustable vibration & static intensity between 1 - 99
  • Static is not able to be disabled like it can with the Aetertek range
  • More expensive than the Aetertek 216
  • Slightly cheaper than the Dogtra

Recommendations

Keeping the values low on this one is a good idea.

Dogtra

  • Premium range collars
    • A step up from Aetertek in terms of its range and quality
  • Dogtra is US import equivalent of Aetertek
  • Higher quality built materials
  • Less range in intensity levels
    • Between 1-2 is the same as between 1-4 in Aetertek, for example

If you ever have a questions about the Dogtra products that isn’t on our website, Dogtra’s website has all their product range with a lot more information.

They go deeper into training and different mechanics of the collars that we don’t cover on our website

Product Range

Wetlands one here, the $500 one

  • Made for the outdoors
  • It's a weather resistant, durable product
  • Top of the range static collar
  • You won’t see them sold all the time, it’s not everyday someone will want one
  • For customer that want the best we have to offer

Features

As an overview of them, they have slightly different buttons.

Instead of it being beep, vibrate, shock, it’s just a stimulation which translates to vibration or static depending on the colour

They use a Nick, a Constant and a Stimulation.

  • Nick it’ll just tap, like it just busts at once and very short
  • Constant will do a building rhythm, the one where you press and hold it.
  • Pager will do it like intermittent, like-- a beep, wait, beep.

Recommendations

  • Dogtra we recommend for medium to larger dogs.
